Judge Kevin W. Dunn is Experienced
Judge Dunn has presided over hundreds of Juvenile and Probate cases being the Judge of the Court
Including:
- Felony bind over of a youth convicted of Aggravated Murder receiving a Life Sentence
- Numerous Felony Adjudications (Trials) and Dispositions (Sentencings)
- Contested Estate matters involving millions of dollars in dispute
- Guardianship matters protecting the most vulnerable of society, including the developmentally delayed and individuals incapable of managing their own affairs
- Over 450 Neglected, Dependent and Abused Children cases, ensuring child safety and resolving the issues that brought families to Court
- Finalized over 300 adoptions of children
- Medina County’s Judicial Representative on the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District
- Member of the Ohio Academy of Probate Judges
- Member of Ohio Academy of Juvenile Judges
- Member of National Academy of Probate Judges
Judge Dunn graduated from Miami of Ohio with a degree in political science and received his law degree from the University of Akron. He began a private law practice in Medina. Over a twenty-two year span he represented numerous clients in the areas of Probate, Family Law, Criminal, Corporate, and Civil matters.
While in private practice Judge Dunn was sought out and served in the following judicial and magistrate capacities:
- Acting Judge at the Wadsworth Municipal Court
- Magistrate for the Burbank Mayors Court
- Magistrate for the Medina County Domestic Relations Court
- Acting Magistrate for the Medina Municipal Court
- Death Penalty Certified to represent individuals charged with Capital Offenses
Along with maintaining his private practice, he accepted the position as an Assistant Medina City Prosecutor in 2012 where he served until becoming Judge.
